Tribal mask - Teke Tsaayi - SOLD OUT

African mask with cubist look in our gallery

Here, a circular African mask with exceptional geometric shapes.

It reveals an avant-gardism to piss off contemporary Western artists. A typology perfectly in line with the so-called Kidumu masks combines the mastery of the sculptor which is reflected by this choice of patterns seemingly simple but no less accurate.

This type of mask was originally accompanied by a raffia and feather headdress that were replaced regularly due to wear, which is observed here on the back, an undeniable sign of the many portages of this mask.
