Lega Kindi Pendent

Almost all of the Lega African art objects are linked to the Bwami initiatory society. There are statuettes, masks and masks and other objects. The materials used range from wood to ivory, including bone and turtle shells.

Lega Bwami items are reserved for specific ranks. This pendant with a cord adorned with bones and decorated with cowries and a small Lukungu-type mask belonged to the highest rank, that of the Kindi masters.
