Neckrests

The neckrests in african traditional artMany people have used the neckrests (or headrests) in Africa. They are often carved according to the tribe they are from, so their style can be recognized as Gurage, or Hemba for example, or more exactly like Luba from the Shankadi region when the little caryatid figures wear the specific hairdo.
