Large Luba female figure
Large African statue brought from Zaire by a Belgian settler. The Luba artistic corpus contains representations of women linked to the founding of the kingdom. This is a woman standing, her hands supporting the generous chest. Beautiful scarifications adorn the rounded abdomen, a symbol of fertility.
