Superb and rare African Luba statue from the Shankadi sub-group. This piece with its very particular style can be compared to that of the Seymour Lazar collection recently sold at Christie's Amsterdam.
Possibly from the same workshop and the same artistic movement, this particular statue stands out strongly from the more common Luba figures.
