Rattle figure Songye - SOLD OUT

The rattles were used during rituals and were reported to ancestor worship, together with statues. It may be that the soothsayers summon the spirits or repel the mistreatment.
The small spheres are always surmounted by a bust, here surmounted by a rounded head representing a Songye mask.
