Lega Bilondo hat - SOLD OUT

This cape or headgear of African Leg art is part of the bilondo, emblematic and honorific insignia of the Bwami that serve to publicly proclaim the rank and status of the owner of bilondo within the brotherhood.

This is a vegetable fiber headdress decorated with colorful beads. The chosen materials are not simply aesthetic but reflect especially the rank of the insider. We also find in the frame of Bwami, masks and statues in wood, ivory and bone, and many other objects.
