Baule Mblo mask - SOLD OUT

African mask characteristic of the Baoulé group in Ivory Coast. The look is raised by white pigment on the eyes in coffee beans. The face is balanced with dignified features.
At the top of the Baoulé masks, there is an important diversity of scenes, animals and characters. Here, a chameleon figurine that is easily identified by the shape and thanks to the colored pigmentation. The damaged tail underwent a slightly visible restoration.
Baoulé masks are of different types, here an Mblo mask, and appear, often in pairs, during different rituals and festivities throughout the year. The Baoulé still practice their traditional dances today.
