Galoa Okouyi mask - SOLD OUT
This mask comes from the Bas-Ogoué lakes region. Its style is similar to the Adouma style, however located much further upstream in the central regions of Gabon. This type of mask was used by brotherhoods of initiates in order to discover wizards likely to have sown death or disease or for example to have caused a hunting accident. In order to identify the suspects, the mask will perform a divinatory ritual.
