Pende mask

Derived from Pende culture, this african art mask is identifiable by its heavy and drooping eyelids, flat and upturned nose, continuous eyebrows, bulging forehead, and drooping mouth.

Its figurative and geometric appearance recalls Cubist portraits, from which it drew inspiration.
