

This type of traditional mask of Koulango or Ligbi comes out during major religious holidays: breaking the fast of Ramadan, Eid el Kebir (Sheep Festival) or for other occasions.
The eyes are closed. The headdress extends upwards to end in a spiral. On this mask, as on other African masks related to the worship of the Dô, we find lateral growths that are also found on the Kpeliye type masks among the Senufo.
