Facial mask Ekpo Eket - SOLD OUT
This lunar-shaped facial mask was part of the ekpo society (ancestor worship) during the feast of yams and funeral ceremonies.
It is distinguished by the great sensitivity of the face emerging from the frame that the halo, whose pregnance is accentuated by the dark, crusty patina. Stylistically, it is related to the most modern expressions of the ancient statuary Eket including ogbom crest.
