Remarkable African mask from Ivory Coast. This collectible African art object comes from the Yohouré ethnic group. there is a style close but distinct from the Baoulé. This Lomane mask with a beautiful burgundy patina is topped by two stylized kalaos. A beautiful geometric beard decorates the bottom of the mask.
This mask danced during various ceremonies and festivities. The Lomane cult still exists today.
