Weaving in African tribal art
The pulleys of pulleys of looms are objects that exist throughout West Africa where weaving was practiced. Generally, these African stirrups are surmounted by an anthropomorphic or animal head which makes it possible to identify more precisely the ethnic group from which they come. They are called Konantré.
