Bateba figure - Lobi - Burkina Faso - SOLD
The Lobi in African art
Authentic African Bateba statuette of the Lobi. It could be a traditional statuette that was carried everywhere by its owner to ward off evil spirits and bad luck. Small room full of serenity. The character is feminine and has a proudly erect chest. The ears were detailed despite the dimensions of the statuette.
A pearl necklace is wrapped around the neck.
