African mask produced by the Pende. There are several types of masks in the Pende, with different utilities. This one represents the spoilsport in the masked dances. It is recognized by the many perforations present on its face. Traditional mask rarely met with perforations on much of the face. He would be called Mapombolo Kindombolo, "trouble maker" or "shit maniac".
