Headrest Dinka Sudan - SOLD OUT
Neckrests in traditional East African art
There is little figurative art in East Africa because of the Islamization of the region. The sculptors have therefore designed everyday objects very famous for their variety and their sober and contemporary look, especially the neckrests and headrests.
This one, in light wood, consists of a curved seat supported by three feet. At the ends of the seat are animal representations. Small brass nails decorate the room.
