Figurative stool - Afo - SOLD OUT

Caryatid stools meet in the traditional art of several African countries

Female representations are a central theme in Afo's body of work, as is shown by the famous Okeshi / Okishi maternity hospitals. Facial scarification is also present in Igala.

The woman holds the circular seat with the help of her arms and head. There are geometric linear patterns. This is a beautiful authentic object unusual, much appreciated. This stool has a smooth patina brown letting show the natural color of the wood.
