Hugues Dupriez, Belgium
Hugues Dupriez (1939 - 2020) was a Belgian collector of African art. He was a pioneer of agroecology in Africa, having surveyed and supported the rural world for more than 50 years.
During his travels to remote villages, he collected with attention and a very personal aesthetic eye numerous traditional masks and statues which were the subject of a catalog paying tribute to him and his foundation.
