Superb ancient African statue of a pre-Bembe group called Sikasingo or Buyu. You can recognize the long face, characteristically thinning with a crenellated beard.
The body has members created geometrically. Honey patina.
In African art Sikasingo Buyu, these ancestor statue called esusany’o were devolved to cults.
