Yaka Suku medicinal figure
Wooden statuette from the Yaka or Suku, in the Democratic Republic of Congo. It was traditionally used as part of medicinal and protective rites.
Nicely sculpted, there is a monkey on the character's head as well as a wide mouth and an upturned nose.
