Metoko ancestor figure - SOLD OUT
African statue of the most minimalist. The facial treatment, however, identifies him as Metoko. Stylistically close to the Lega, Metoko figures are differentiated by the use of often red pigments and streaks. Here, the curved face is separated into two parts with differentiated polychromy.
The body is very astonishing: reduced to their simplest expression, the trunk, the arms, the legs are entirely cubist. Only small circular patterns persist as well as the genitals.
