Kongo colonist figure - SOLD OUT
African statue depicting a European colonist in African art Kongo. This piece was sculpted by an artist from the Bakongo group who was inspired by the attire and facial expressions of Western settlers living in the Congo, probably a Belgian.
We observe the hat, the pants, and the jacket. Beautiful dark and smooth patina.
Nice piece of ethnographic and historical interest.
