The master of the crowns is distinguished by the pleasure he takes to give free rein to his imagination, the gaze concentrating immediately on the elaborate style of his representations of hairstyles worn by women of that time.
The population of the south-east of the Ivory Coast is made up of many groups that are commonly referred to as lagoon peoples by their establishment near the rivers that irrigate this coastal region. Of these twelve or thirteen lagoon civilizations, only the Abouré have sovereigns, when the lagoon people use the French terms of king and queen, they do not speak of political leaders, but of well-known personalities who are publicly recognized as holding gold and which can be subjects of plastic representations.
