Mishi Janiform Bembe head - SOLD OUT
African Bembe statue Mishi with two highly stylized faces, carved identically. They offer a structured face in oblique planes by the thin median ridge stretching from the top of the forehead to the end of the nose, animated by the tubular eyes projected in high relief. The faces are separated into two concave faces inlaid with red and white pigment. The base is frustoconical.
Beautiful piece of African art very stylized.
