Chokwe Cisanji Lamellaphone
The lamellophone or thumb piano is an instrument widely used in sub-Saharan Africa. In addition to being used by the Chokwe, a community in Angola, it is also found in other groups where it goes by the name likembe, mbira, or sanza etc.
Musically, the lamellophone is frequently played with repetitive patterns, while avoiding being monotonous.
