Terracotta Mangbetu jar - SOLD OUT

This jar magnificently illustrates an African art Mangbetu dedicated to beauty. In the first quarter of the twentieth century, some artists initiated the tradition of an anthropomorphic ceramic that has become one of the most sensitive expressions of Mangbetu art. We see her here with a male character who seems to be seated while being an integral part of the room.
