Note that among the Luba, the social system is very hierarchical, the woman occupies a very important place as founder of lineages. The Luba have made a number of prestigious pieces and objects of power, this room with overflowing expressiveness is one of them.
Traditional Luba art remains however a refined art, curves, scarification, pretty headdresses very often adorned, in cross or in cascade, form part of the artistic corpus of the Luba.
