Bamileke knife
This remarkable African knife whose blade is finely chiselled with patterns comes from the very important collection of African art of the Belgian multidisciplinary artist Claude Renard.
The resounding success of the auction of the Renard collection caused a veritable earthquake in the world of tribal art. Fans were very sensitive to the passion that this renowned artist put into putting together this set of several hundred pieces covering a large number of ethnic groups from all over Africa.
In addition to the intrinsic quality of the carefully selected pieces, his wife wanted to pay tribute to him through a beautiful book "Formes d'Afrique" prefaced by their close friend, Yves Vasseur, journalist and author.
