Pende Mbuya Mask - SOLD OUT

Pende masks are a classic of African Congolese tribal art. This Pende mask with exaggerated features and dimensions was used during initiation rites and masked festivals. The forehead is rounded, the eyelids are heavy under a continuous line of the browbone. Clan marks are perceptible all over the face, given the size of it, everything leads us to believe that it is a mask carved in honor of an ancestor and hung in a box.
