Hemba Soko Mutu passeport mask - SOLD OUT
This small mask from the Hemba in the Democratic Republic of the Congo was not intended to be worn on the face but by hand, given its dimensions. It is a passport mask.
In Hemba African art, masks of this type, called Soko Mutu or So'o Mutu, featured the great monkey. This one is encrusted with kaolin.
