Senufo Kafigeledjo oracle - SOLD OUT
Halfway between the fetish and the statue, the African oracle Kafigeledjo (or Kafigueledio) is a Senufo strangeness. Figures of this type are crowned with feathers and covered with a balaclava, in the manner of certain Senufo ritual clothing. These oracles are provided with long arms sometimes articulated, here extended in forks.
It is in fact the direct embodiment of magical forces in the hands of the great Kulébélé initiates who derive supernatural power from them. In principle, the oracle Kafigeledjo intended to reign social order is a dangerous instrument for its users. Guilty or victim, the one to whom a spell is cast, will be pointed out with the arm of this unusual kind of doll.
Literally, Kafigeledjo means "That which says the white thing".
