Lu Me Dan figure - SOLD OUT
Very old statue of a Lü Me woman, a type of major figure in Dan art. This piece was harvested in very poor condition and restored by a highly specialized workshop in the 1980s. Superb almost black patina. A perfect balance awaited in Dan statuary. Very figurative body, almost anatomical. Magnificent scarifications on the breasts and torso. Headdress worked.
