Kusu figurine - SOLD OUT
African figurine in light wood representing a man. The body is surprisingly tilted back. The hands meet on the abdomen. The face is frozen in a cry, the rectangular mouth gaping. A long, thin goatee projects downwards.
Close to the Songye, the Kusu borrowed from them the use of protective figurines. Given its old patina, this Kusu figurine had to undergo magical rituals intended to protect its owner.
