The cup bearer among the Luba

The Luba stylistic corpus is representative of an assemblage of curved lines. The theme of the woman with the cup is linked to the divination rite. In the cup is preserved white clay which is in all of black Africa to a ritual significance. The woman is crouching, holding a vessel where the work is of remarkable finesse.
