It represents the male dancer wearing the famous mask of beautiful woman representing the young woman in the prime of life who must marry. The face is therefore remarkably sculpted with the cross called "chingelyengelye" as well as scarifications on the cheeks and temples.
The body of this African statue meanwhile streaked like a zebra and in fact represents the costume worn by the dancer, costume in braided fibers. This statue comes from a Belgian collection.
