Pende Munyangi mask - SOLD OUT
Stylization of masks in African art
This traditional Pende mask is one of the stylized objects typical of African art. Her little face is slender and adorned with geometric decoration based on white and red pigments. At the top are not horns or ears but knives symbolizing the chief's weapons.
It is a Munyangi-type mask linked to agrarian rites during the sowing of millet among the eastern Pende.
