Luba bell
Original Luba wooden bell. In the African art of the Luba kingdom, we know a wide variety of objects intended for authority, divination and everyday use.
Here, a bell whose role is not known but could have been used during hunts or during divinatory rites. Sometimes, the same object could fulfill several functions.
A figure is seated at the top. Ringed neck, headdress pulled back.
