African statue depicting a beautiful woman supporting her breast with her hands. Beautiful scarifications adorn the abdomen, scarifications that can be found on Luba women as indicated in the attached context photo. The elongated neck carries a head with a dignified and serene face, headdress pulled back. It is detailed and has a cross on the back.

Historically in Luba history, women occupy a preponderant position, which is why sculptors have always given her a central place in their entire corpus, whether they are objects of divination like the Lubuko, the Katatora oracles, cup bearers, or everyday instruments and objects.
