This mask comes from a Luba Songye woman. It is cubic in shape, with striations typical of Luba and Songye masks and covered with kaolin, a white clay that plays a major role in the rituals of these peoples. Rare, this mask is a charm intended to be worn on oneself, it reassures and protects.
