Iginga Kakulu figure Lega - SOLD OUT

Figures related to Bwami in African art

African statue of Iginga Kakulu type of Lega (Warega). In the traditional Bwami, this figurine represents a powerful Kindi now aged, bowed under the burden of the sacred objects that he accumulated. During his life, he has helped many people to obtain bwami ranks and has been a custodian and guardian of objects of initiation of collective property. Aged and vaulted, this person deserves the highest consideration; his body seems weak, but his social and moral power in society is great.
