Kongo Yombe figure - SOLD OUT
African statue Bakongo in a squatting position quite identifiable in the Kongo corpus. The high miter-shaped headdress is characteristic of the Yombé, a Kongo sub-group.
The patina here is obviously very old and crusty.
Kongo figures are linked to the power of the leader but also have magical virtues.
