Katatora Lubuko Divination oracle - Songye - Congo - SOLD

African objects and divination

Our gallery of African art presents to you today a beautiful and authentic African divination oracle Katatora Songye. African instruments of this type are used in the context of kashekesheke, katatora or luboko divination rituals by the diviner. They assimilate to Nkishi-type pieces, well-known protective statues.

The oracle was held by the diviner and his client, various manipulations were then carried out. The wood itself is supposed to be magical. The small head that surmounts the room has features quite typical of the Songye.

This traditional African art object was bought by a collector in Belgium. Do not hesitate to contact us to obtain another one.
