Sukuma mask
African masks from Tanzania are poorly known and their identification is not always easy. Traditional Sukuma masks are often distinguished by their cubic shape with square eyes and mouth. We find a certain archaism more or less pronounced from one mask to another, as well as a certain aggressiveness through the gaping, sometimes toothed mouth. This ancient mask has a pointed nose and ears.
